Pegasus Reserves 3 Milton Reserves 0 (Chwaz, Trim, Sincy) – 26/11/11

Pegasus had their first home game since 24th September, (nine weeks) and after finding our way to the ground the lads were all up for it and determined to protect our unbeaten home record stretching back to the start of last season.

Derek had to call up some players to the 1st team so changes were made from the last game but we kept the same 3-5-2 formation that has served us well of late.

We started brightly and were gifted a very early goal when the Milton keeper fumbled a tame shot from Sincy. Peg continued to dominate and played some good football at times as well. Rob and Chris both hit the woodwork before Trim and Chwaz made it 3.0 at half time.

The second half was a closer affair as the strong wind evened things up a little. However Peg were still the better team by far and had some good chances to increase the lead. It was a good opportunity to give all 3 subs a game and especially pleasing to give Liam his first run out this season.

The game finished 3.0 and Sean and myself were especially delighted with the clean sheet. Man of Match award goes to Rob Allan who was superb again in centre midfield and special mention for Shaun Sinclair with a very good performance in his first start of the season. Thanks as usual to Matt for running the line.

Next week is a big game against Roade (2nd v 3rd) so we will look to finish our last league game of 2012 in style.
