Premier Division K.O. Cup - By Willy McAuley
18/10/08 : Corby Pegasus 0 Roade 3

Pegasus disappointingly crashed out of the K.O.Cup and a Season that appeared to promise so much at the start of the Season is quickly falling apart. Pegasus were forced into changes as Az Bailey and Lima Krunic both bowed to injuries. Scott Grant made his seasonal debut, Alex Sewell was on the bench due a late work finish and Ben Smith was recalled at the expense of John Coates. Pegasus had a lot of the play in the first half and carved Roade open several times but were never able to create any clear cut chances and went in at half time with the tie finely balanced at 0 – 0. Pegasus came out in the second half determined to put matters right, but were stunned after 55 minutes when Craig McShannon somehow let the ball slip through his hands from a tame header to hand Roade the lead. Shortly after, another goalkeeping mistake gifted Roade a 0- 2 lead from which Pegasus never recovered. A goal with 15 minutes left made it 0 – 3 to leave Pegasus shell shocked as to how, after all their first half possession, they could lose the game 0 – 3.
