11/10/08 : Kislingbury 3 - Corby Pegasus 2

Despite scoring two sensational goals Pegasus returned to Corby with nothing to show for their efforts.
Pegasus started really well and were rewarded on 15 minutes when a rare Ian Wood goal fired them in front. Wood collected the ball some 35 yards from goal and as Kislingbury backed off he unleashed a tremendous strike passed the stunned home keeper. Pegasus were getting a lot of possession but could not turn it into goals and almost on the stroke of half time the home side equalized as a loose ball fell straight to a home forward who lashed it home.
The home side was getting more possession as the second half commenced but Pegasus were denied a great appeal for a penalty. As Dragoslav Krunic weaved in to the box he was fouled but stayed on his feet with the ball going out of play – as Pegasus waited for a penalty the Ref pointed for a corner kick to everyone’s amazement.
Not long after this the home side took the lead and with Pegasus having to reorganize due to injuries too Wood and Gary Legge, they went 3 – 1 up. Pegasus didn’t give up though and pulled one back after a fine Paul Simpson pass was brilliantly volleyed into the far corner by Liam Duffy, but they could not get the equalizer that their play deserved.
